About Lorna Ashcroft

Lorna Ashcroft is a well established Assertiveness trainer and adult educator who has worked in the South Wales area for over two decades. She runs popular Assertiveness and Further Steps in Assertiveness courses both as weekly and day courses and at residential weekends. Friendly group sessions have nurtured the growth of confidence and positive thinking which has helped a large number of people to reach for their dreams.

Following the success of her group approach to confidence building, she is now offering personal Life Coaching for individuals and organizations, blending the techniques which have proved successful for confidence building with a focused approach on the specific areas of life where people need personal support, such as career, work/life balance and life change.

She holds a Doctorate in Education and is also an experienced tutor in access and undergraduate level Social Sciences and Psychology. She also tutors study skills for mature learners and has written study skills materials for a University website. She has spoken on BBC Radio Wales on assertiveness, has featured in the Western Mail and is currently writing a book on self-development.
